Scott's Rules to Trick-or-Treating
Rules for Trick or treating:
If you don't say, "Trick or Treat"-You don't get candy.
If you don't say, "Thank you" after taking the candy-
I take it back.
If you have boobs-You’re too old.
If you wear cologne- You’re too old.
If your idea of a costume is sun glasses-
You’re too old.
If you’re not wearing a costume, you don’t
get candy.
If you’re showing cleavage and you’re only 14 years
old-Your parents need to be smacked.(And put some clothes on!)
Mom’s pushing strollers with sleeping babies-Don’t take
candy for a baby who is not going to eat candy.
Don’t dress like you’re going to a college Halloween
party i.e. a Slutty (Anything) while taking your kids
out Trick-or-Treating
If you’re rude, and complain that you only get one
free piece of candy-I get to slap you.

My First Commercial
So, you all know about the production company I'm a part of...Well, I, along with my writer friend Alex Shebar, wrote this commercial. It's been on ESPN, Comedy Central, and the food network for a little over a week now. It's been on several major Cincinnati Blogs, and..well, it's just awesome! Check it out!

A New Twist on an Old Favorite!

So...one of the things my wife likes best is when I make spaghetti and meatballs. It was one of the things I made for her pretty early on in our relationship when I was trying to win her over...and, well...it worked! So, I've been making it for her for over 3 years now. Today, I looked up a receipt for "Baked Meatballs" I'm currently in the process of making them...but, by go, they sound delish. 1lb of ground chuck
eggs
salt and pepper
parmesan cheese
and either bread crumbs or shake and bake
I used shake and bake. Then you put them in the oven at 350 till they're finished..then you mix them in with the sauce. Now, I don't know about you all, but..this doesn't sound like it can go wrong! So...I'll keep you updated on how good they really are. I'm guess fantastic. Here's a pic of the product before it went into the oven. Bake and Enjoy!

Worst of the Worst
I haven't seen a lot of these movies...but, if Battlefield Earth isn't even in the top ten...this could be a big pile of shitty movies.

New Ideas
So...I'm going to start putting different things on this blog. Things I like/Dislike/am indefferent to. Whatever I want. It's my blog, and I'll do with it what I will. Now READ!
Ripping My Hair Out!

I've decided that Being a Cincinnati Bengals fan is very hazardous to my health. No a drive can go by where I don't feel like ripping my hair out and throwing the remote at the tv. I wish I wish I wish I had a team to root for like the Colts or the Patriots. Unfortunately...I hate the Pats..and if I root for the Colts I'm a poser...so..I'm screwed with what I go..and...what I got ain't good.
So, here's what's new.

Well, I still don't have a job...but, I have been working. Plum St. Productions has started getting work. I've written the first draft of a short film we've will start shooting on Oct. 11th. My writing partner, Alex Shebar and I, have written the first commercial for KT's Barbecue. If you don't know who that is...it's the BBQ place with the Big Boobied Mannequin. So, we've started some work for them. Good things are on the horizon., and sooner or later I'm sure I'll find a job. But...as of right now, things are starting to come up Livesay!

Squints.

So, we are puppy sitting this week. My mom, as some of you may or may not know, is part of the Ohio Pug Rescue. They take care of all the pugs that people shut to the side and mis-treat. So, Mom and Dad are in Florida this week for vacation. We are watching a dog that...for some reason...they've decided to name "Rummy" because apparently he was found tied to a dumpster. Lame..right? So, I decided to name him Squints. He's got a bad eye. So, it only makes sense to name him after the kid from "The Sandlot". So...without further ado...I give you Squints...or Squincy Jones.

Five Guys

Tonight the wife and I took in dinner with Greg, Val, Nick O. and Nick P. at Five Guys. I'd never been, but I'd heard nothing but good about the place. They were not overhyped. Delicious, good priced, delightful atmosphere. If you've never been, it's sort of like a mix between Steak and Shake and Penn Station. Same type of fries, and the burgers sort of taste like the steak burgers at Steak and Shake, but they're much bigger, and far more delicious. We enjoyed the company, and the food. Glad we were invited out with our friends for such a pleasent evening. I've enclosed a picture so you can see just how yum-yum-tastic the burger looked. Enjoy...I did.

New Friends
This weekend is my friends Greg and Val's wedding. We came up to Hueston Woods Friday afternoon. The rehersal/dinner was Friday night, and the wedding is today...Saturday. It's a great weekend. We've been hanging out with all of Val and Gregs other friends and I've come to realize that I want all of them to be my friends too. They're all awesome..and I enjoy being with "like" souls. So, this weekend, and last weekend, I've made new friends..and I am a fan. That is all. Good day.

Unemployment
As some of you may know, I'm currently laid off. It does suck. It all started about 5 months ago when I was fired from the Hospital I worked at for some very "skeptical" reasons. Let's just say suddently (4 days before I was set to get a 5% raise) there was a question about my work. The work that had me doing over twice as much as everyone else on my team. Very very sketchy. But, reguardless...it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to me. I always hated it there, but I never realized just how much I hated it till I was gone.
So, I started the unemployment process with nothing to help me out. No unemployment benifits because the hospital fought me on it and told the government that I was fired and all that. So...I find a new job. A job I love at a doctors office. And 2 months in, I am laid off, because and I quote "There was plenty of work when you started, but you came in and did it all, and now there isn't anything else for you to do." So, basically, I worked myself out of a job there. But, this time, I can apply for unemployment!
So, yesterday, I got the paperwork stating that I was going to receive my unemployment benifits. Not only would I receive my benifits from the Gastro doctor I worked for, but...wait for it...I'd get benifits from THE HOSPITAL too! Ha! F- You Hospital! You're still paying me!!!!!! And that is why today I am in a happy mood. Because, I just got paid by the assholes that fired me to sit at home and enjoy the rain today. Thanks jerks! Serves you right!

Beating the System
So...where were we?
As we've discussed I've been laid off. It sucks...period. But, I just found out that I do qualify for unemployment. I also found out that I'll be making $10 less per week in my unemployment than I did at my job. God Bless America! So, that'll help in the new job search. I had such a hard time when I was looking for a job last time. We had very little money, and I couldn't find anything. Now, I dont' have to worry about not having any money at all while I look for my future career. Which is, I have to say, a total bonus!
My grandma is in town. She moved down to Louisville to live with my aunt a few years ago. Well, she and my aunt are in town for the weekend to "visit". Which means, my Aunt is in town to visit, and my Grandma is in town so she can go to the Casino. So, my Mom, Aunt, Grandma, Angie and I all went to the gambling boat today. Angie and I have never been to a casino. So, we go in and my mom gives Angie and I $2...we were just playing the penny slots anyway. So, I burn thru that pretty quickly. Mom gives each of us $10. There was a "betting malfunction" and half of my money was lost on 2 bets...not awesome. And, the rest of it was lost with terrible "luck". So, I hate the casino. So, we attempt to leave and we all go to Grandma who tells gives us all $10 bucks and basically just waves us all off to leave her alone. So, Angie and I go back to the gambling. At the end of the day we had $35. That should tell you how good we are at the gambling! I'm not going to say we "worked" the casino...but, we went in with nothing, came up with $35. Just so you all know that's probably like a 350% increase in the money from the day.
We're awesome.
The End.
